The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology is part of the Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital/University Hospitals of Cleveland .

We provide a comprehensive clinical service for a referral population that covers most of the State of Ohio . This service includes an inpatient care and consultation service as well as outpatient services at our satellite locations. The division is academically oriented and Faculty members are active in both clinical and basic science research.
The Pediatric Pulmonary Disease Division treats infants, children, and adolescents with cystic fibrosis, asthma, airway problems, and other pulmonary diseases. Specialized diagnostic services include flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy and clinical laboratories with special facilities for sweat testing, pulmonary function and challenge testing, and microbiology.

Division Resources include:
- Thoracic surgeons experienced in procedures such as open lung biopsies and rigid bronchoscopy
- Pediatric pathologists specializing in lung pathology
- Digital subtraction angiography, computerized tomographic and nuclear magnetic resonance imagers
- Pediatric radiologists with extensive experience in pulmonary disease
- Respiratory therapists who can develop custom built equipment
